AN ART FORM-WOOD TURNING
The origin of woodturning dates to around 1300 BC when the Egyptians first developed a two-person lathe. One person would turn the wood with a rope while the other used a sharp tool to cut shapes in the wood.
Woodturning's start with a piece of wood, perhaps an old piece of wood or a rare find and then are shaped into unique items by Chris and a lathe.
The created pieces are used for special moments in time and provide an artwork that takes something living and keeps it in our hands for years to come.
